To be eligible for services at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic, several criteria must be met:


  • You must be uninsured or under-insured. You cannot have Medicaid or Medicare/Badgercare or be eligible for any other government programs, such as VA benefits or Disability.
  • Your household income must be at or below 250% of the federal poverty level (FPL). See the table below.
  • To confirm your eligibility, you must provide proof of income. This proof will be a tax return, paycheck stub, Social Security Statement, or unemployment statement.
  • You must reside within our coverage area, which includes the following counties: Eau Claire, Chippewa, Dunn, Pepin, Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson, and Clark County.  We encourage those living in Chippewa, Dunn, or Clark counties to visit the free clinics in their areas.   • Exceptions are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Un miembro del personal se reunirá con usted para ver si puede recibir atención en la Clínica Gratuita. Si no puede, intentaremos ayudarle a encontrar atención en otro lugar.

  • No puede ser paciente si gana más del 250% del nivel federal de pobreza.
  • No puede ser paciente si recibe atención médica del gobierno.
  • Debe presentar comprobante de ingresos.
  • Debe residir dentro de nuestra área de cobertura, que incluye los siguientes condados: Eau Claire, Chippewa, Dunn, Pepin, Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson y Clark County.
